We house-hunted with this family knowing they wanted to be in a specific neighborhood, even if it meant a renovation. They bought a rambler with plans to update, living there for a year while we designed the next chapter. The project included a double addition, adding a spacious primary suite with a walk-in closet, larger bath, and a bright bedroom. The second addition gave them a mudroom, workshop, and extra garage space. We also renovated the entire main level, opening up the kitchen, dining, and family room. With a love for mid-century style, they kept things fun with bold colors, clean wood cabinetry, and a pink bathroom that nods to the home’s roots, plus a green reeded island everyone loves.
