We took a beautiful, sprawling mid-century rambler on the river and reimagined it for multigenerational living. Every inch of this home was touched, but we were careful to preserve as much of its original character as possible - the natural brick, parquet wood floors, and a stunning curved staircase all remain. We kept the walls of glass to honor the incredible natural light and river views, and reimagined underutilized spaces to create better storage, a large walk-in pantry, and a much-needed mudroom and laundry room. The kitchen, updated in the 80s, had lost its original charm, so we took the opportunity to start completely fresh. The architecture of this home was already incredible; we just needed to make it work for the family living in it.
